Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan

It was Emily's first time going to Taiwan to see my family. I was a little excited for the plane ride going on a 747 one last time before it got retired.
We hit up Taipei, Chaiyi, and Tainan through our trip and although I've been to Taiwan plenty of times as a kid, this was really the first time doing the touristy things. We checked out Taipei 101, Shilin night market, and the National Palace Museum (where they had the famous roast pork carved from a rock. Had to get an edible one right after).
Taiwan has to be at the top of my list of favorite places to eat. The carby breakfasts of shao bing you tiao (fried bread inside baked flatbread) with soy milk, gua baos, beef noodle soup, Lurou fan, oyster omelets, soup dumplings, ba-wan, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, stinky tofu, and of course bubble tea. I'm so hungry right now.

Yes, someone carved this out of stone. No, you can't eat it.
